Competition Chairman Dave Barber, Sudha and Pandit Patil, ASWA President Grant Crandall

On Thursday, December 15, Pandit and Sudha Patil, owners of Narmada Winery in Amissville, VA, attended a gala awards ceremony at the Longworth House Office Building on Capitol Hill.

The Atlantic Seaboard Wine Association® in cooperation with the Congressional Wine Caucus hosted this event to taste the gold medal-winning wines of the Twelfth Annual Atlantic Seaboard Wine Competition.

Pandit and Sudha were presented with a certificate for achieving a Gold Medal – Best In Category for Narmada Melange 2014, a meritage-style blend of cabernet sauvignon and merlot grapes.

2015

Narmada YASH-VIR 2011 won the gold at the Long Beach Grand Cru Wine Competiton; REFLECTION 2011 took silver.

Tastings Bordeaux Varietals Competition brought gold for Narmada CABERNET FRANC RESERVE 2010, PETIT VERDOT 2011, and TANNAT 2010 with silvers awarded to MALBEC 2010 and YASH-VIR 2011.

The San Francisco International Wine Competition brought gold for Narmada YASH-VIR 2011 and PETIT VERDOT 2011.

Virginia wine lovers show some love at the Virginia Wine Lovers Wine Competition. Gold medals went to Narmada MERLOT, MIDNIGHT and PETIT VERDOT. DREAM FESTIVAL and MOM were awarded silver.

Narmada receives its first PLATINUM MEDAL for PETIT VERDOT 2011 at the Critics Challenge International Wine Competition.

From Vineyard and Winery Management Magazine’s Grand Harvest Awards, new gold medals for Narmada REFLECTION 2011, and wine club exclusives PETIT VERDOT 2011 and MERLOT 2011.

Gold for our raspberry-infused chambourcin wine, Narmada PRIMITA 2010, was awarded by the Mid-Atlantic Southeastern Wine Competition.

The Sommelier Challenge International Wine Competition awarded Narmda MELANGE 2010 a silver medal.

The Atlantic Seaboard Wine Association awarded gold to Narmada wine MERLOT 2011, a wine club exclusive. Silvers went to CABERNET FRANC 2011, MIDNIGHT 2011, and MOM 2011.

Narmada MIDNIGHT 2012 took gold at the Long Beach Grand Cru Wine Competition. “An uncommonly artful chambourcin, dense with plummy fruit on a frame built to last.” CABERNET FRANC RESERVE 2010 and YASH-VIR 2011 took silvers.

Narmada CABERNET FRANC RESERVE 2010 achieved a silver medal at the San Francisco International Wine Competition this year.

A gold medal was garnered by Narmada CABERNET FRANC RESERVE 2009 at the Critics Challenge International Wine Competition. Silvers went to CABERNET FRANC 2011, wine club exclusive MERLOT 2011, and YASH-VIR 2010.

At the Riverside International Wine Competition, Narmada CABERNET FRANC RESERVE 2010 received the Chairman’s Award/Unanimous Gold: BEST IN CLASS and was written up by Judge David Stevens, Master Sommelier: “Ultra varietal, bright red fruit nose; vanilla/oak, slight green leaf mid-palate; long varietal finish; great balance and crisp. The poster child for cool climate Cabernet Franc.” ALLURE 2009 and VIOGNIER 2011received silver medals.

2013

Gold medals were awarded to Narmada GULABI Rosé 2010 and MIDNIGHT 2011 at the Mid-Atlantic Southeastern Wine Competition. DREAM 2011 received a silver medal.

At the Indy International Wine Competition, Narmada MERLOT 2011, a Maharaja Club exclusive, and YASH-VIR receive gold medals. Silvers went to wine club exclusives PETIT VERDOT 2011 and MALBEC 2010, and to CABERNET FRANC RESERVE 2010.

Gold medals are awarded to Narmada VIOGNIER 2011 and REFLECTION 2010 at the San Francisco International Wine Competition.

Founder and wine critic Anthony Dias Blue declares “In the last year or two I have been extremely impressed with the huge advances in quality being made by Virginia wines. In my own tastings and at the San Francisco International Wine Competition, wines from Virginia have been consistently among the best. The Dallas Morning News Wine Competition awarded silver to Narmada YASH-VIR 2010.

At the Grand Harvest Awards, Narmada received silver medals for CABERNET FRANC RESERVE 2010 and MIDNIGHT 2011.

Silver medals were awarded to Narmada CABERNET FRANC RESERVE 2010, MIDNIGHT 2011, and REFLECTION 2011 at the American Wine Society’s Commercial Wine Competition.

Riverside International Wine Competition awarded silver to Narmada REFLECTION 2010.

At the Atlantic Seaboard Wine Competition, Narmada REFLECTION 2010 won a silver medal.

2012

The Virginia Governors Cup Wine Competition awarded a silver medal to Narmada VIOGNIER 2011.

Silver medals were earned at the San Francisco International Wine Competition for Narmada VIOGNIER 2011 and PRIMITA 2010.

Indy International Wine Competition honors Narmada MELANGE 2009 with a double gold, and CABERNET FRANC 2009 achieves a gold medal. silvers went to DREAM 2011, TANNAT 2010, and VIOGNIER 2011.

Gold is awarded to Narmada TANNAT 2010 at the Long Beach Grand Cru Wine Competition. CABERNET FRANC RESERVE earns a silver.

Narmada CABERNET FRANC RESERVE 2009 and GULABI 2011attain gold medals at the Mid-Atlantic Southeastern Wine Competition. TANNAT 2010 is named “Best Dry Red,” and silvers go to REFLECTION 2010, PRIMITA 2010, and CABERNET FRANC 2010.

2011

Narmada VIOGNIER 2010 takes gold at the Indy International Wine Competition and silvers were awarded to YASH-VIR 2009, MOM 2010, MELANGE 2009, LOTUS 2010 and DREAM 2010.

International Eastern Wine Competition awards gold to Narmada VIOGNIER 2010.

A silver medal is awarded to Narmada MIDNIGHT 2009 at the Virginia Governor’s Cup Wine Competition.

Narmada MOM 2010, the winery’s signature white wine, is honored with a concordance gold, and GULABI Rosé 2010 and PRIMITA 2010 win gold at Wines of the South Competition.

Narmada REFLECTION 2009, a dry Chambourcin, takes gold at the Riverside International Wine Competition. MELANGE 2009 and MOM 2009 take silver.
